Event Details

The Immersive Writing Lab is a 2 day global creative event about rethinking how we tell stories.

It brings together the most creative wrtiers and technologists working today, to help create stories that move beyond linear narrative - expect an amazing two days of talks, labs and demos that are fundamentally rethinking how we tell stories in the digital age.

Day 1 (August 20th) - 'Learning the Tools
'. On this day, the best creative writers and technologists working today, the tools that can now be used to tell stories. This day is designed a taster to help widen your already vast creative palette. To view the full list of speakers and the topics they will be discussing, you can follow this:

Day 2 (August 21th) - 'Creative Workshop'
. On this day, it is the really fun bit. We will start developing your own storyworlds and look to demo for the first time to the public 'Varytale' a tool that could help you tell these sorts of stories. To stay updated sign up to the updates on facebook.

We hope you enjoy it - we have kept the price low, because we want to help develop and grow the writers of tomorrow - we fundamentally believe, storytelling will go next will be about big minds and not big budgets.

There will be a competition on the back of the event, where we put £6k of our own money into the competition winner's story; with the top 5 entries being given feedback by Sarah Clay, Multiplatform Executive Producer at the BBC (E20, Becoming Human, Waterloo Reunited).
